Ashby Integration

Skima AI helps recruitment teams automate workflows, prioritize candidates using scoring, and streamline hiring operations. With the Skima AI integration for Ashby, you can sync candidates, jobs, applications, and notes from Ashby into Skima AI, automate repetitive tasks, and manage pipelines from one place.

Setting up the Skima AI Integration​

This section guides you through connecting your Ashby account with Skima AI. Once connected, Skima AI will begin syncing your Ashby candidates, jobs, and applications so you can use workflow automation within Skima AI

  1. Log in to your Skima AI Dashboard.

  2. In the left sidebar, navigate to Integrations.

  3. Search for Ashby, or scroll through the ATS integrations list.

  4. Click Add to begin the setup process.

  5. Review the permissions Skima AI requires. These may include:

    i) Candidates

    ii) Jobs

    iii) Applications

    iv) Attachments

    v) Stages

    vi) Users

    vii) Departments

    viii) Notes

    ix) Tags

  6. Once reviewed, click Proceed to continue with the integration.

  7. To integrate with your Ashby account, enter your Ashby credentials, including:

    i) Ashby Admin Email ID ii) Ashby API Key

  8. After successful authorization, Ashby will appear under your ‘My Integrations’ tab in Skima AI, showing that the integration is active and syncing.

Using the Skima AI Integration​

Once your Ashby account is connected, Skima AI begins ingesting candidates, jobs, applications, and notes. This enables Skima AI to evaluate candidate and job fit and support workflow automation.

This section explains how Ashby data interacts with Skima AI workflows.

Application stage change​

Skima AI retrieves updated application stages during scheduled sync cycles. This ensures that your pipeline, candidate details, and application updates remain aligned with Ashby without requiring manual refresh.

During each sync, Skima AI:

  • Updates application stages pulled from Ashby
  • Refreshes candidate and job data
  • Syncs notes, attachments, and applications
  • Updates scores based on newly synced information

This keeps your Skima AI workspace up to date with the latest Ashby activity while following your chosen sync schedule.

Data Sources​

Skima AI uses synced Ashby objects as data sources when running workflows, analyzing candidates, and updating the hiring pipeline. Candidate and application data is used for scoring, pipeline insights, and assessments.

Jobs​

Ashby jobs are imported to Skima AI to support candidate and job matching and reporting.

Candidates and Applications​

Skima AI can also push updates back to Ashby, such as custom fields, tags and notes added during the matching process.

Custom Fields​

Skima AI allows you to push AI scores as well as notes into Ashby using custom fields.

Tags​

Skima AI allows you to push AI scores into Ashby using tags.

Notes​

Skima AI sends notes with matching analysis back into Ashby. This ensures that actions taken within Skima AI are reflected in Ashby’s activity timeline.

Disabling the Skima AI Integration​

If you need to stop syncing Ashby data or remove the integration entirely, you can disable the connection from either Skima AI or Ashby.

In Skima AI:​

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Search for Ashby under My Integrations.
  3. Click ‘Pause’ to pause the integration.

In Ashby:​

  1. Navigate to Admin Setting —> API Keys
  2. Locate the Skima AI connection.
  3. Click ‘Disable’ to fully remove authorization.

After disconnecting:​

Previously synced Ashby data remains available in Skima AI.

New data will no longer sync.

Skima AI will stop sending updates back to Ashby.
